A Hunter
Originally published in 1972 as part of the photobook series “Gendai no Me”, “A Hunter” is one of Daido Moriyama’s most accomplished photobooks and includes some of his most famous photographs. Inspired by Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road”, Moriyama drove through Japan by car, almost aimlessly, to take photographs wherever the wheels would take him.
This edition offers a faithful reproduction of the images of the original publication at their original size, detailed information about each photograph, as well as invaluable commentary and anecdotes by Daido Moriyama and essays by artist Tadanori Yokoo and editor Shoji Yamagashi (all texts only available in Japanese).
