Lips! Lips! Lips! is the third entry in a series of photobooks by Daido Moriyama which feature silkscreen-printed, hand-bound canvas covers, following the release of “Pantomime” and “Tights in Shimotakaido.”
True to the title, the typically Daidoyama-esque photographs in “Lips! Lips! Lips!” show lips in any form imaginable, with motifs ranging from snapshots of women kissing to closeups of faces to t-shirts with stylized lips to walls covered in rotting advertisement posters (showing lips) to rooms covered in lip photographs. The photobook includes many double fold-out pages, and is limited to an edition of 350 hand-signed and numbered copies.
