Flowers
While taking snapshots on the streets, I sometimes find myself drawn to flowers and click the shutter button. This book is a collection of my ongoing commitment for those photos.
― Daido Moriyama
Bound in a screen-printed canvas cover, Daido Moriyama's "Flowers" focuses on a constant but lesser-known theme in the Japanese master photographer's career: from cherry blossom trees overflowing into rivers, to cut tulips slowly dying in a tumbler of water, to almost obscene close-ups of blossoming orchids, private toilets adorned with flower arrangements, or snapshots of florists' shop windows. The book is limited to 350 copies. Each copy is signed by the artist.
