Published by Rat Hole Gallery in 2005 in conjunction with the exhibition Polart 6000, Nobuyoshi Araki’s “Polart” brings together a selection of the 6000 polaroids exhibited. Condensed within the 512 pages, the large-scale installation of Araki’s polaroid snapshots are displayed as a four-colour lay out within each page. Within, viewers are invited to look upon the familiar themes of Araki’s works captured in the visual aesthetics of the polaroid.
