花代
Hanayo
中学校で写真部に入部した花代は、父親から古いカメラを譲り受け、1989年頃から自分の身の回りの事象や出会った人たちを写真に収めるようになります。ロンドンへ渡った1996年に『ハナヨメ』で写真家としてデビューし、同じ年に生まれた愛娘・点子を以降は被写体として撮り続けます。奇才監督クリストフ・シュリンゲンズィーフと出会い、その舞台やパフォーマンスに出演するようになった1999年にベルリンへ移住。2010年の帰国後は新たな試みとしてモノクロ写真に取り組み、現在は東京を拠点に精力的に写真を発表しつづけています。写真家としてだけでは括ることはできない、多彩な表現を奏でる花代という存在。膨大な写真から選ばれたこれらの写真群は、彼女の人生そのものであり、時代を映す鏡のように私たちにこの世界の美しさ、あるいは儚さを提示します。
