ZHANG Kechun
チャン・ケチュンの作品は、産業革命後の中国の風景を考察している。大判カメラを駆使し、中国の近代的な国民性における風景の重要性に思いを馳せながら、壮大な風景を作り出している。特にケチュンは、中国の文化遺産と近代化の影響との関係を探求している。ケチュンの作品は、ソフトで繊細な色調を使い、静かな美しさと大きな雰囲気がある。変わり果てた中国の風景に悲劇的な美しさを吹き込む一方で、彼が出会う人々の日常生活のコミカルな瞬間も写真に収めている。
1980年、中国四川省生まれ。彼の作品は、パリのPhotoquai、中国の北京フォトビエンナーレ、インドのデリー・フォトフェスティバルで展示されている。2014年に『The Yellow River』でLes Rencontres d'Arlesのディスカバリー賞を受賞。1998年にはナショナル・ジオグラフィック・ピックス・グローバル・フォトコンテストで優勝し、2013年にはソニー・ワールド・フォトグラフィー・アワードの最終選考に残った。2023年にはソニー・ワールド・フォトグラフィー・アワードの静物部門で最優秀賞を受賞。中国・成都在住。
