アリ・マルコポロス
Ari MARCOPOULOS
1957年オランダ生まれ。現在アメリカを拠点に活動する写真家・映像作家。
1980年にニューヨークに移住し、アンディ・ウォーホルのアシスタントを務め、その後、アーヴィング・ペンに師事。スケートボードやヒップホップといった米国のサブカルチャーシーンとファインアートを横断する作家として世界的に知られており、とりわけ、写真集やZINE、ポスターなどの印刷物を数多く手がけた功績は大きい。
2020年にはDASHWOOD BOOKSより作品集『Polarids 92-95(CA)』『Polarids 92-95(NY)』を刊行。主な個展として、Foam(アムステルダム)、バークレー美術館(カリフォルニア)、MoMA PS1(ニューヨーク)が挙げられる。
