On The Plateau
On The Plateau by Taiwanese artist Lin Yu-Chih is a collection of photographs shot in the Szechuan region of China between the years 2004 and 2007. The photos are grouped by year of creation, but no further explanation is provided. Browsing through On The Plateau’s enormous, diverse cache of photos, the work itself allows its viewer to map Szechuan as seen by Lin in detail and complexity, each page adding a new detail, a new side to one’s understanding.
