Where Time Has Stopped
“Europe: Where Time Has Stopped”, composed of color and monochrome photographs shot during Narahara’s travels through Europe between 1962 and 1965, was controversial for its themes and experimental photographic techniques and is considered to be Narahara’s masterpiece. However, the book remained out of print for the 55 years since its release, limiting access to its photographs to those lucky and willing enough to hunt for highly-priced copies on the secondary market.
This re-release of “Europe: Where Time Has Stopped” has been produced in cooperation with the Ikko Narahara Archive and features a new page layout and binding style to provide the best access to the artistic vision and power of Narahara’s dynamic photographs.
