Part two of Osamu Yokonami’s widely acclaimed “Assembly Snow” series, which surmises the relationship between the individual and the group.

In Yokonami’s surreal, painterly images, the group melts together to become one. Extending the time the camera shutter stayed open summons a blur in each image, and the individuals in the frame begin overlapping. Instead of fixing what is seen right before one’s eye, the development process reveals scenes that at first could not have been imagined.
