A Record of Someone, Somewhere 〜4〜
Shogo Yamada presents the fourth issue of his handmade photobook series “A Record of Someone, Somewhere.” Originally started when the Corona Pandemic made it difficult to go outside and shoot photographs, the “A Record of Someone, Somewhere” sees Yamada go through work he produced but never published. For the fourth issue, however, Yamada ventured into Osaka and photographed with a digital camera – an experiment he started during the pandemic. In Yamada’s photographs life has returned to the streets of Osaka. His colorful images capture the chaos, the fleeting moments and once-in-a-lifetime situations that occur as part of urban density.
“The effects of the Corona Pandemic had disappeared almost entirely as I was shooting, and people were back on the streets. It wasn’t really a return to a pre-pandemic state but rather the interlude between the extreme highs and lows that had rippled through an ever-changing city. What does the future hold? (For me, the busier the better.)
After finishing this fourth issue, I would like to spend more time on locations during my shoots. For that reason, I will put this series on hold for now.
Thank you for your support.”
