Thomas DEMAND
ドイツの彫刻家、写真家。現在、ベルリンとロサンゼルスを拠点に活動し、ハンブルク美術大学で教鞭をとる。彼は、部屋やその他の空間の実像のように見える立体模型の写真を制作しており、多くの場合、社会的・政治的な意味が込められた場所である。そのため、デマンドは自らを写真家ではなく、写真が創作プロセスの本質的な部分であるコンセプチュアル・アーティストであると語っている。
