テリ・ワイフェンバック
Terri WEIFENBACH
本作りはテリー・ワイフェンバックの芸術活動の中心である。1997年に最初の著書『In Your Dreams』を出版して以来、『Cloud Physics』、『Lana』、『Politics of Flowers』、『Gift』（共著者：川内倫子）など20タイトルを執筆。出版社には、アトリエEXB、アイスプラント、ナズレーリ出版、Loosestrife Pressなどがある。Weifenbach's Instruction Manualのコンセプトは、Nazraeli pressのOne Picture Bookシリーズ（#01、#03、#04）を実現し、スタートさせた。In Your Dreams』は『The Photobook： マーティン・パーとジェリー・バジャーの『The Photobook: A History Volume II』に収録されている。
アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、日本で数多くの個展やグループ展を開催し、『Audubon』、『Union Magazine』、『IMA Magazine』などの定期刊行誌で幅広く発表している。テリーにとって初の美術館での個展は、2017年にクレマチスの丘にある伊豆フォトミュージアムで開催された。彼女の作品は、アリゾナ州のCenter for Creative Photography、ドイツのSprengel Museum Hannover、Musee des Impressionismesなどの国際的なコレクションで見ることができる。
ワイフェンバックは教師としても有名である。国内外のワークショップに加え、コーコラン美術大学、ジョージタウン大学、アメリカン大学の講師としても教鞭をとっている。
ニューヨークで生まれ、ワシントンDCで育ち、メリーランド大学で教育を受けたテリー・ワイフェンバックは、20代からの十数年間をニューメキシコとカリフォルニアで過ごした。現在はフランスのパリ在住。2015年にグッゲンハイム・フェローの栄誉を受ける。
