Composed of photographs by Hideya Ishima and edited and organized by Kyoto-based publishing label Chuchichäschtli, the art book "Untitled 01" explores the apartment complex where Ishima lived for 18 years of his life. He records the visual makeup of the apartment complex through black-and-white snapshots of interiors, exteriors, strange moments and symbolic details, and the accumulation of intangible, invisible human experiences in collected written anecdotes by other residents. In this way, "Untitled 01" transforms the material architecture into a complex layered structure of fragmentary memories, personal experiences, and intertwined histories.
