Sima-Jima
Published by Little More in 2004, Yoichi Nagano's Sima Jima is the second body of work which he has published. Born in Fukuoka Japan in 1968, Nagano began his photographic career in 1998. Here, published within the pages of Sima Jima is Nagano's ode to the life of those whom inhabit the islands which surround Japan. Portraits of children, adults, to fishermen and homes fill the pages within the publication reflecting the quiet and small excitements of life lived against a backdrop of blue.
