Yusuke Yamatani’s 2015 photobook “Rama Lama Ding Dong,” now available in its second edition.

Yamatani shot the images in “Rama Lama Ding Dong” during his honeymoon holiday, which took him and his wife Emi – tent and clothes in hand – from the north of Japan down to the south. The stark black-and-white photographs tell the story of their travels – bath houses visited, mosquito bites endured, car crashes witnessed, forests crossed – in an elegant, poetic form seldom seen. Each image has the power to stand out on its own; together they capture a gentle transition through Japan, and into a new phase of life.
