KAZUSA
A quiet photobook by Japanese photographer Kyoko Yokouchi that seeks beauty in the ordinary.
"Six years ago I moved from central Tokyo to a city named Katsuura in Chiba. Once in ancient times the area was called "Kazusa". What I desired for were time, space and natural environment.
As I began to live here, the blessings of nature were far beyond my expectation. With camera in hand I began to take photographs.
This is indeed a life of the finest quality.
Despite being only two hours outside of Tokyo, the area seems so different to me.
This scenery may one day become ordinary to me as time passes by, so I decided to present it in a photobook before such time comes."
