FOLLOW UP -JOO2E3-
Published in 2014 by Yomogi Books, Follow Up is Sayo Nagase’s most recent publication. The images within the series offer a visual interpretation into a mysterious object, named J002E3, which has been found orbiting Earth since its discovery by an amateur astronomer in 2002. Described by NASA as an “unresolved speck of light” it is presumed to be part of the Apollo 12 lunar landing mission which left for the Moon in November 1969. Follow Up is a photographic interpretation of this mysterious object in orbit which explores the unknown and unpredictable nature found beyond the limits of Earth. The images within all depict a sense of anonymity, presenting objects and landscapes which suggest impressions of the ‘unidentifiable’.
