déjà-vu No. 14 Provoke
A photography quarterly published during the early 90s, déjà-vu offered a distinctively freeing avenue to the reading and interpretation of the medium, its interpretations and experiences. In and amongst the 20 issues published during its existence Issue No. 14 The Provoke Era: The Turning Point in Post-war Japanese Photography featured interviews of all the members from the highly influential Provoke magazine. Published in Japanese with detailed English summaries, the issue serves as a key example of the beginnings of a cross-cultural photographic dialogue between Japan and the West.
