For his photobook “Butter,” Ari Marcopoulos photographed some of the best snowboarders in the world in Saas Fee in Switzerland at the beginning of the winter season. The highlight of the series are shots of snowboarders floating above a giant artificial half-pipe, disappearing into the sky and white clouds. But rather than going for pure spectacle, Marcopoulos spends a lot of time introducing the snowboarders and the sheer scale of the mountain.
