In a project curated by the photography group WishotLAB, a group of eight photographers shot images of San Guiseppe, an ancient area in the Italian city of Jesi, for an entire year.
After the photographs first focus on the inhabitants of the area, they soon direct their focus towards architectural features of the area.
“It is an investigation which does not claim to show the identity of a community or of an urban landscape, but it tries to give back subjective visions of an area full of contrasts: abandoned places next to houses under construction, immigration related issues which coexist with elements of integration, feelings of fear and open-mindedness.” (from the publisher’s statement)
