10 Days in Kraków
Published in China by the publishing house Jiazazhi Press, 10 Days in Krakow is a photobook which combines both a diaristic and travelogue narrative. Nominated as one of the best photobooks at Fotobookfestival Kassel 2015 and listed as Author Book Award in Arles Photo Festival 2015, 10 Days in Krakow is the published body of work by the young Bejing based photographer Yuanyuan Yang. Using both found imagery, snapshots, image stills and text excerpts from Jean Luc Goddard’s 2 or 3 Things I Know about Her (1967) and Mamoru Oshii’s The Sky Crawlers (2008), 10 Days in Krakow presents a narrative seemingly fragmented which later unfolds itself into a three part publication exploring both imagined memory and experience.
