The fifth issue of the Japanese omnibus magazine “Gateway” examines its central theme “The Possibilities of Memory” through the work of various participating photographers, artists, and writers. Opening with a collaborative series by artist Kana Osawa and photographer Kenshu Shintsubo exploring the “reverberations of a town,” the magazine continues with the series “ue image” by artist Urot Esak, “Prospects and Light” by Local Artist, “Look Back, Look Forward” by Fluss and Shusaku Yoshikawa, “refrain, the clear layer in a fluid, atop the sediment” by Masumi Ishida, as well as poems by Kazeto Shimonishi and texts by Kotori Kawashima, Yasuhide Kuge, Takuroh Toyama, Ai Ezaki, and others.
