IZU PHOTO MUSEUM
IZU PHOTO MUSEUM is located in Clematis Hill, a cultural complex that includes the Bernard Buffet Museum, the Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum, the Yasushi Inoue Literature Museum, a garden, restaurants, and other facilities. The interior and tsuboniwa garden were designed by Shinsozai Kenkyujo (Hiroshi Sugimoto + Michiyuki Sakakida), which aims to realize an art museum where visitors can enjoy the world of human life and expressive art, centering on special exhibitions while examining and presenting the circumstances and history surrounding photography and imaging that have been transformed since the 19th century.
