Heibonsha
A Japanese publishing company. It is well known as a publisher of encyclopedias, and publishes a wide variety of general books as well as many academic and educational publications. The Toyo Bunko and Bessatsu Taiyo, which are still being published, have a long history. The character for "Taira" in the company name is, strictly speaking, in the old Chinese character style, in which the two dots form the end of a Chinese character, like the eight of a Chinese character.
