TAMANO
Extracts from Sakiko NOMURA's Uno Port Photos in the City Project at the Setouchi Triennale 2013 will be on display. For this project, she took portraits of people living in Tamamo city, Okayama prefecture; primarily residents of senior citizen’s homes.
The 48 portraits elaborately capture the lifetime of each subject, enveloped in the reverential and affectionate gaze of Sakiko NOMURA. Her work shows us the beauty and strength of life, as well as the glamor that people radiate when they become a photographer’s subject. It also reminds us of the brilliance of photographs.
