Kemonomichi
Before the god from Izumo came to Suwa, there was a native god called Mishaguchi. Further going back to the past, the J_mon culture flourished there. The god from Izumo, the native god Mishaguchi, and J_mon, these are not necessarily the things of the past. These three cultural elements are still alive between Lake Suwa and the Yatsugadake Mountains that stand like a sheer wall. Their power I sometimes feel thick and fast. By some chance the three elements reveal themselves beyond the ordinariness of our everyday life and become one. For this chance I waited. And some track or trail came to stretch before me, the trail that was not visible before. I trekked off into the trail.
