Tosei-sha Gallery
Founded in 1984. With the philosophy of “presenting photography books to the world as a bouquet of art,” the company is strongly aware that photography books themselves are works of art, and continues to produce and publish books of photography works by photographers from the 1960s to the 2000s, including representative photographers of the 1960s such as Eikoh Hosoe, Hiromi Tsuchida, and Kazumasa Suda.
Original ink is used for each book. This is a unique feature that no other publishers have, and is the reason why we call our books “photographic works” rather than “photo books.
In June 2005, we opened the Gallery Fuyushiro. The gallery focuses on the works of 12 documentary photographers per year.
The gallery is a commercial gallery with a particular interest in silver halide prints, classic technique prints, and C-type prints.
