Ikko NARAHARA
奈良原一高
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1931, he received his M.F.A. from Waseda University Graduate School of Art and Design in 1959.
While still a student, in 1956, his first solo exhibition, “人間の土地” drew a great response, and he began his career as a photographer.
In 1959, he formed the self-agency “VIVO” with Shomei Higashimatsu, Eikoh Hosoe, Kikuji Kawada, and others (dissolved in 1961). After returning to Japan in 1974, he continued to travel the world and hold numerous exhibitions. After returning to Japan in 1974, he continued to cover various parts of the world, holding numerous exhibitions and publishing numerous photo collections, which have received high international acclaim.
