Taking readers on an unpredictable journey, the book offers a subjective view of the baroque palace and its formal gardens. Photographs of the artworks, taken by Anders Sune Berg, converse with images of the site shot by the artist himself. A special series of abstract drawings by Eliasson, created for the book, react to instructions written by Louis XIV on how to view the gardens of Versailles. The book invites readers to drift through the palace, gardens, and exhibition, at night and during the day, to explore the rich other side of Versailles.
