Having visited Japan in the 1970s and 1980s, Gerry Johannson’s Tree Stone Water contains images which were taken during the months of September and October 1999. The photobook, divided into three individual chapters, captures the landscape of Ehime prefecture of Shikoku Japan, focusing on the characteristics of the surrounding environment which envelops and plays as the backdrop to the daily lives of the people whom inhabit the area.
