This almost 300-page strong photobook is based on photographs uploaded to instagram by “Todamin”, a Japanese photographer living in Toda-City in Saitama Prefecture, between January and March 2018. The photographs, taken during daily and nightly walks with Todamin’s dog, build up to become an extensive and personal portrait of the city.

“Lit by LED lamps, the dog and I plod down the pre-dawn street. Reaching for the smartphone in the back pocket of my jeans, I open my ‘camera’, point the lens in the direction of my attention, and tap the screen with my forefinger.”
