Published by Choeisha in 1981, Kazuo Kitai's Story of Shinsekai brings together a body of photographs which illustrate and document the oridnary lives of residents in Osaka's neighbourhoods. Within Kitai captures the portraits and landscape of a city's community presenting a depiction of both time and place within the unfolding narrative.
