The photobook "Fade," published by Tokyo-based Bookshop M, accompanies Japanese fashion designer Yuima Nakazato's Spring 2025 collection.
In search of inspiration, Nakazato travels to different parts of the world for each new collection. "Fade" was inspired by his experiences in the White Desert National Park, known as "Sahara el Beyda", in the eastern part of the Sahara Desert. There, surrounded by what was once the bottom of a great ocean, Nakazato felt the presence of deep time. In his imaginative, evocative photographs, Nakazato engages with the transience of time and the inevitable gradual disappearance of everything.
