Fishermen waiting to sail out, men cutting up a whale, photos of historic sites, of traditional dishes, whales dying at the shore...This is a document of people who ate whales and lived with them. The black-and-white photographs were taken at various sites in Japan such as Kujukuri, Taiji, Ayukawa, over 24 years.
