For the photo series Delicacy, Japanese photographer Masahiro Shoda invited men to a portrait session. The clou: they were to bring underwear they liked, “in a sexual sense”, and then had to wear it on their heads for the photos. In the photobook, Shoda also supplies images showing where and how each portrait was taken (makeshift portrait spaces in busy streets, wheat fields, next to convention centers etc.).

“A man wearing underwear on his head and a landscape - it may be a very odd combination, but Shoda believes that it reflects the truth of what Tokyo is. […]
