CAN YOU HEAR THE WIND BLOW
The sound of wind, captured in photographs – in large-format photographs, Korean photographer Kim Jungman’s poetic photobook “Can You Hear The Wind Blow?” depicts branches and leaves of single trees, swayed gentle by movements of air. The trees appear stoic and lonely, simply existing and braving the elements wherever they have been planted.
“In actual fact, all of the photographs in the book were made between 2008 and 2017, and simply depict a row of neglected street trees in an alley between the artist’s studio and home in Seoul.“ (from the publisher’s statement)
