Masato SETO

Publisher: Little More

Published by Little More in 2008 and designed by Match & Company founder Satoshi Machiguchi, Masato Seto's Binran is a photographic portrayal which captures the women who work along the roadsides of Taiwan selling betel nut (binran). Set against a backdrop of neon and glass paneled displays, Masato Seto captures both the subject and their spaces of work both interwined and boxed in within a facade of lights and colour, their presence defined by their glass boxes, questioning the reality of what is being sold and bought.

Included within is an afterword by Masato Seto titled Glass Boats. All text available in both Japanese and English.
