Album no chikara
Masahi Asada's Album no chikara documents the individuals in the Tohoku region who worked in restoring the photographs, albums, books and negatives which were found amongst the wreckage of the March 11th earthquake and Tsunami. Travelling to the region a month after the disaster along with editor Fujimoto Satoshi to aid in volunteer activities, Asada came across a group of individuals who dedicated their time in recovering the family albums and images found in and amongst the remains of the Tsunami. _Album no chikara _intimately captures those individuals who aided in preserving the found albums, a bound witness to the power and importance of images, of the family album and the lasting memory of which the objects have come to embody.
