Japanese photographer. Visiting professor at Osaka University of Arts. Graduated from the Department of Photography, Faculty of Art, Osaka University of Arts. Started his career as a freelance photographer working for magazines, advertisements, and photo books. Has worked on posters in Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom. He has gained worldwide acclaim for his unique world view. His early works include fantasy images of angels and fairies.
