Born in Toyama Prefecture, he began working as a freelance photographer in 1995, and in 2007 published "DECOTORA" (Little More), a collection of portraits of decotrays and drivers taken over a period of nine years. 2006 he began traveling to the Tohoku region, where he continues to take photographs while deeply interacting with the people, culture and nature of the Tohoku region.
