Born in Nagoya, Japan in 1978.
Graduated from Kyoto University (major in ferrous metallurgy). While in univ., wandered mainly Asia (China, Tibet, India, Pakistan and more). Came back to research activities of iron, but to watch through the lens the people enjoying agriculture in Kyoto, realized what to do in his future. Quitted graduate school, and turned to be a photographer.
