Dick Lau is a Hong Kong photographer who takes documentary for a turn. Lau holds a committee seat with the Hong Kong International Photography Festival, and otherwise works as a photography tutor for youth as part of the government social welfare department. As part of Asia Society’s project Visioning in the Dark, he taught at Ebenezer School’s photography project for the visually imparied. Group exhibitions include [re:DeveLepwent]: Kwun Tong Yue Man Square Redevelopment Documentation Exhibition VI (Lumenvisum, 2010-2015), an exhibition curated by Lau Ching Ping (Eslite Bookstore, 2013), Photo Reading Room (JCCAC, 2014), and 1000 families exhibition by Hong Kong International Photography Festival (Artistree Taikoo Place, 2016). Home as a solo exhibition was premiered at Lumenvisum. Lau’s works have been collected by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
