Takahiro Takano, photographer, born in Fukui Prefecture in 1963, graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University in 1987, and began showing his work in 1994, winning the 31st Ihei Kimura Photography Award in 2006 for his sexuality-themed photo book "IN MY ROOM" (Sokyu-sha). In recent years, he has also become interested in urban spaces, and in 2011 published "KASUBABA" (released by Art It), a photo collection on the theme of Japanese cityscapes. Other photo collections include "How to Ride a Man" (Akio Nagasawa Publishing, 2009) and "Alpha" (SUPER DELUXE, 2012), etc. In 2010, he founded "Shashin Segregation School" with Risaku Suzuki, Taiji Matsue, Shino Kuraishi and Minoru Shimizu. He currently serves as a juror for the Ihei Kimura Photography Award and "1_WALL".
