The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo
The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, located near the Imperial Palace, is Japan's first national art museum. It features one of the largest collections in Japan, including important cultural properties by artists such as Yokoyama Taikan, Hishida Shunso, and Kishida Ryusei. The museum's collection of over 13,000 pieces includes masterpieces of Japanese art from the Meiji period to the present, as well as works from overseas.
