A publisher of magazines and books on photography and imaging. In recent years, many of its publications have been aimed at professionals and technical experts.
The most widely known periodicals are the monthly magazine “写真工業” (launched in 1952 and ceased publication with the December 2008 issue) and the monthly magazine “ビデオα” but the company also published amateur-oriented magazines such as “光画月刊,” which was published during the time of its predecessor Kogeiso, and the retitled “月刊カメラ” (different from the magazine with the same title published by Ars). (different from the magazine of the same name published by Ars), which was aimed at amateurs.
