Scheidegger & Spiess is Switzerland’s leading publishing house for art, photography, and architecture, and one of the largest publishers in this field in the German-speaking world. Working hand in hand with museums, photographers, artists, and architects of renown, we publish carefully conceived and beautifully designed books.
In a time of increasing standardization in art publishing, we try to give each book its own individual character by collaborating with excellent designers who pay particular attention to a sophisticated layout and outstanding materialization. A large part of our list is also published in English or French. Among our bestsellers are the books by Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.
Many of our titles have won international awards, including Best German Book Design, the German Photobook Award, the DAM Architectural Book Award, The Most Beautiful Swiss Books, the German Design Award, the CICA Bruno Zevi Book Award, and twice, in 2014 and 2023, the Golden Letter for the Best Book Design from all over the World.
