Kyuryudo was founded in 1923 in Kanda, Tokyo by Ryuichi Ishihara (real name: Ryuichi Adachi), the grandfather of Kinya Adachi, the current president of Kyuryudo, to trade paintings and publish art books. As a publisher in the art book tradition, we have come to be recognized as “Kyuryudo of art books” through our corporate activities using the best of our superior publishing technology. To this day, we have been publishing art from all over the world in beautiful books.
