Danilo Montanari Editore
The publishing house Danilo Montanari of Ravenna has been involved in contemporary art, photography and architecture since 1980, bringing out more than 700 titles and collaborating with leading Italian and international artists from Mario Schifano to Sol Lewitt, from Jannis Kounellis to Joseph Kosuth and Giulio Paolini. It published Maurizio Cattelan’s first book in 1989, and the first significant monograph on Alighiero Boetti. In particular Danilo Montanari Editore handles limited edition artists’ books.
An exhibition of the publisher’s collection, with catalogue, was held in September 2011 at Bologna University, in the Great Hall of the Library, with a presentation by Mario Diacono.
