“Tokyo Reveries” by Cristiano Guerri, an intense and varied dive into Tokyo’s profane and sacred.
In color and black-and-white photographs, Guerri presents an impression of Tokyo far unlike any other. In pictures of patina-crusted busts, earthquake-cracked house facades, nature sprouting from concrete, decaying animal corpses, flower close-ups, scenes from Tokyo’s streets, architecture and infrastructure, Guerri manages to draw a mysterious, vibrant, contradictory portrait of Tokyo as an inexhaustible city complex.
